Hi Everyone,
The Smart Brush tool, which was first featured in Photoshop Elements 7, is a wonderful tool that allows you to quickly and easily adjust, enhance, and add effects to your photos.
The Smart Brush tool uses the Quick Selection tool to add adjustment layers to your photos. So, that means that the adjustments are made on a separate layer from your original photo. The pixels of your original image aren’t changed at all and so the adjustments and enhancements made through the Smart brush are completely nondestructive.
The Smart Brush tool is available in Element’s Full Edit mode and includes something like 50 preset effects to choose from for adjusting color and tone, creating effects, and touching up details. Once you have selected the effect you want from the Smart Brush drop down list, all you have to do to apply the effect is paint over the area you want to change. Presto, that’s it! It’s almost like magic.
If you want to see the Smart Brush in action, here are a couple of videos you’ll definitely want to check out:

Happy Scrapping!
