Digital Scrapbook Ideas: Single-Photo Layouts

by Mary on March 25, 2011

Hi Everyone!

adding texture to photosMany scrapbook layouts include multiple photos. And, I know that there are scrapbookers out there who feel that a scrapbook page should always include multiple photos because a story needs more than one photo to really be told. Besides, if you are trying to scrapbook lots of photos, single page layout may seem inefficient.

For me, though, there are times when a single photo layout is the perfect way to tell a story. A single page layout can put the focus of your page squarely on the photo, without making your layout seem too busy or cluttered. It’s perfect for those pictures that really do say it all! Or for when you only have one photo of a certain event.

And then, there’s the artistic aspect of scrapbooking. I find that one-photo layouts can lend themselves to a design that is just as much about the look and feel of the page as it is about the story.

So, if you are interested in single-photo layouts, here are a few links to layout ideas for inspiration!
